Question "Gandi standard for bare domain?", by Charles D.

Is it possible to get a Gandi Standard certificate for a bare domain, with no "www" or other subdomain (e.g. just "example.com")?

Answer, by Thomas S. (Gandi)

Yes, but then you will not be able to secure www or any subdomains with it. For that, you should use a multiple-address (wildcard) certificate. Note that wildcard certs only work for one level (www.example.com and www2.example.com, but not foo.www.example.com).
