There is absolutely no relationship between Gandi SiteMaker and Gandi's VPS cloud hosting service.

The Sitemaker websites are automatically hosted by us, and so there is no need to purchase anything other than the subscription to the service. If you want a Gandi Sitemaker website, you do not have to purchase a Gandi VPS.

Once you have purchased your Sitemaker website, it is ready for activation from your Sitemaker page. We have a page in our wiki to show you how you can do this: http://wiki.gandi.net/en/sitemaker/activate

With regards to the share that you purchased for a VPS server, you can simply release the share from your account, and your prepaid will automatically be refunded for the remaining time that you paid for your share but did not use.
