How can I configure SiteMaker to setup an http://example.com rather than requiring a http://subdomain.example.com ?
It claims invalid entry if I omit the subdomain or use * or @.
I'd like to host without a subdomain.
The best way I can answer this is to make the sub-domain www Then go to your site's cpanel or whatever it uses and redirect all connections from sitename.com to www.sitename.com
Why can't http://sitename.com simply stop pointing to gandi's parked page and just point to the page made on sitemaker? I don't want that page to be accessible only through www.sitename.com, nor do I want http://sitename.com to redirect to www.sitename.com… I just want http://sitename.com to point to the page I made, while keeping the URL as http://sitename.com (in fact, I'd love it if www.sitename.com would redirect back, and not the other way around). This should be a basic option..
Hello,
That is not part of the way thet the sitemaker architecture works. The name of your Sitemaker website needs to be a subdomain.
