I've registered the third level .name domain jonathan.blakes.name and I want to forward e-mails to jonathan@blakes.name to my Gmail account. This would seem to be a fairly obvious thing to do, since that is what the .name domain was created for, but I can't see how to do this using the Gandi.net web interface. I thought maybe that it would happen automatically given that the third and second level domain names that comprise the e-mail address are already known, but when I sent e-mails to the address they come back with:
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
jonathan@blakes.name
Technical details of permanent failure: DNS Error: DNS server returned answer with no data
Setting up a forwarding address (to my Gmail) or mail box with Gandi seems to trap the mails I am sending to me@jonathan.blakes.name or jon@jonathan.blakes.name (for jon and me forwarding/mailboxes respectively), but I don't actually receive the e-mails, I just don't get an error message for them bouncing.
Please can someone confirm that what I am trying to do is possible or not and why that is so. Also, where to do you think the e-mails I sent that haven't bounced are going?
