Question "mail restrictions - confused?", by Shari S.

Hello,

I just transferred from godaddy and when i went to set up my email account I found the notice that you can't send more than 5 emails a minute.

Am I to understand that if I want to email 6 friends to see who wants to go to an upcoming concert I can't cc them all on one email? Or if I want to email my family about exciting news at work? These are very basic functions of a personal email account. I am sure I am misunderstanding this rule, because if that's true then this is a completely unusable email account and now I'm stuck here.

Can someone clarify?

Thanks!

Shari

Hi Shari.

According to: http://wiki.gandi.net/en/mail/limitations

You can have up to 15 'TO' addresses on a single message, and that counts as 1 message. That limit is raised to 40 when using a mail client (Thunderbird, etc).

Hope that helps you.

Cheers, Dave
