Is it possible to configure catch-all addresses for domains so that anything sent to a domain (*@tutorialgandi.net) can be forwarded somewhere? And can that destination email be at a different domain?
For example *@tutorialgandi.net gets forwarded to tutorials@gandi.net.
Thanks.
Yes it is possible : I have it on one of my domains
But I am currently searching how to do it for another domain. a star is not accepted at the moment.
"From the FAQ :
Can I have a catch-all e-mail address ? Because of too many complaints regarding spam on this kind of mailboxes, Gandi decided in June 04 not to provide this service anymore. By the way, this option remains available for domains that still use it, but you won't be able to use it anymore if you suppress it from your account. Nevertheless, you can now create 1000 e-mail forwardings for each domain."
So it is not possible anymore…

I think it'd be nice to have something in the middle. I tend to use use a dash and a suffix to designate who I give my e-mail address to, such as 'shane-dell@domain.com' for Dell and 'shane-ms@domain.com' for Microsoft. It'd be really nice to have a 'shane-*@domain.com' forward to one single account. This isn't quite a 'catch all' but it is very useful. As it is, I have to try to remember all the '-suffix' pieces I've ever given out.
Any chance this could be added (with checks to avoid the full 'catch all')?

So I had a catchall address before and clicked on something to upgrade to the new service with 1000 addresses today. Does this mean my catchall is gone? There is still a rule *@mydomain.com, is that going to work? I really need this feature, I've been giving out "burner" email addresses that I can filter out on my end and I haven't been tracking them at all. I know I have more than 100 floating around and I won't be able to recreate the list from memory.
