Question "Uprade disk size", by Hugo V.

Hi,

I would like to know when it will be possible to upgrade the size of a disk already attached to the server ?

For example, I want to create a server to install plesk, and put the vhost (www content directory in plesk) directory on the attached disk. The problem is that I don't want to assign all the space at once, I would like to increase or decrese space acording the the domains that will be hosted in the server at each particular moment. Have several disks wont be an option since plesk can only have a vhost directory.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Hugo,

No. You must buy quota, create a new big disk ;) , transfert files from the old disk, then delete the old disk.

In fact you can do it with LVM (what I did). Just make a LVM volume group and then you can add the new GANDI disks into that volume group and extend the filesystem ONLINE. More infos on http://tldp.org/HOWTO/LVM-HOWTO/extendlv.html
