Using Gandi MI, I have two disks: /dev/xvda1 mounted on / and /dev/xvdb mounted on /srv/data1
Are these both on RAID6? Are they on the same disk device? Would I gain any resilience by keeping copies of my data on both disks?
Both your disk are on a filer using RAID6 redundancy. So both disk have the same level of data security. For your own comfort, you could still copy your data from xvda to xvdb to have quick restore (a bad script or a rm command are not so uncommon
).
