I simply want to add ftp service to be able to create webpages.

There are plenty of other services I would like to add but there is no documentation even for an experienced administrator.

I think the service has alot of potential yet…. there has to be a follow through…

Depending on your distribution, you may use

- yum for CentOS/Fedora

- zypper for SuSE

- "apt" tools for Debian/Ubunto

Try a command without arguments to get help memo, or use "man" for further details.
