Question "Changing name servers", by Diane B.

I'm having trouble accessing my account management page, and need to update my name servers please help

Answer, by Michael M. (Gandi)

When you set up your account with your new web host, they will likely give you some nameservers that are associated to their service. This will usually look like:

ns1.example.com ns2.example.com

All that you need to do is to replace the nameservers that you currently have associated with your domain name to those that your new web host provides to you.

You can read a detailed explanation on how to do this on our wiki at: http://wiki.gandi.net/en/domains/management/domain-web-hosting

Also, please remember that changing your DNS will also affect your e-mail accounts that use the domain name. Be sure, therefore to verify that your new web host has set up an email service for you.
