Colleagues,
today I made some changes to one of my domains' zone; the domain (intelib.org) uses ns6.gandi.net as secondary. Despite that my server sends DNS notifies properly (I even traced these packets with tcpdump), ns6.gandi.net didn't seem to wish to reload anything. After a hour of tryings and waitings, I decided to do the old good programmers' 'quit-and-reenter' thing, that is, I re-delegated my domain somewhere else using the 'modify DNS information' page, then re-delegated it back to Gandi's ns6, and finally got what I need. I don't think, however, that this is a good technique, as it involves changing the TLD (ORG) zone _twice_, while honestly speaking it shouldn't have changed at all.
What I suggest is that you stop adding useless 'marketing' elements to your web site interface, all that javascript et al, and add a simple and very useful button like "force reload of the zone". And please don't be afraid of dummy users; making your site useless for professionals you won't achieve anything at all.
Changing our DNS and zone file management is our top priority for our next major revision.
