Using Gandi's DNS

Question "Domain masking without frames", by Edmund G.

I'm guessing this question has been asked about a zillion times, but I can't seem to find the answer (and I appreciate there may be no simple answer).

I want set-up forwarding from my Gandi domain, http://chequeplease.com, to a specific directory on my webhost, http://edgerstner.com/sarah/, where I have a WordPress blog. I want the root domain in the address bar to remain chequeplease, but using frames isn't appropriate. For one, I want Google to be able to see the content. For branding/aesthetic reasons, I want to maintain the chequeplease domain. And more practically, I want to be able to direct people to specific pages/directories within the domain. So if I send them to http://chequeplease.com/wiki/ it gets them to the right place, without showing http://edgerstner.com/sarah/wiki/

I'm confident in changing the zone file, DNS, etc. But I've no idea exactly what needs changing or to what. My hosting service, JustHost.com, hasn't been much use in advising me what I need to do, so I thought I'd try here.

Any thoughts?

The best solution for your case would be to talk to JustHost to get their IP address, and then create A records in your zone file for your domain to point to them.

A tutorial on A records is here: http://wiki.gandi.net/en/domains/management/zone/a-record
