Configuring your Gandi DNS

Question "Configuring for Google Apps", by Jean L.

Google-apps provides a unique string to insert in your DNS file as a TXT entry. Gandi seems to anticipate that the google string will go in as a CNAME. This is inconsistent with what google supplies, because their string has an equals sign in it. An example google string follows.

Anybody know how to put this in as a text entry?

google-site-verification=Hb5O63vwngR7zIgnLqpcnQ7aG5sAQ1Sz-m84bVQaceE

Answer, by Michael M. (Gandi)

We apologize. Google has changed their format, and our tutorial is a bit out of date. We will update it as soon as we have some time.

For your case, you will want to add the following TXT record to your zone file:

@ 10800 IN TXT google-site-verification=Hb5O63vwngR7zIgnLqpcnQ7aG5sAQ1Sz-m84bVQaceE
