I'm looking into various options for hosting my DNS and one that is attractive to me is to host my own primary DNS and use Gandi as a secondary. This seems fairly straightforward for the regular zones.
I also have an IP block (used for my domains registered with Gandi) for which I have been delegated the authority for reverse DNS, however and am wondering if that would work with such a scheme. The FAQ item that this question is posted on mentions that you do not provide reverse DNS, but the way that the answer is phrased makes it sound as if this is aimed at people who want you to reverse something that they don't have the delegation authority for, so I'm still holding out hope.
As an additional point, the IP block is IPv6 if that makes any difference (I imagine it might since they use the "ip6.arpa" domain instead of the "in-addr.arpa" one).
Would Gandi's servers replicate a reverse zone file as in addition to the standard zones?
