I want to use URL forwarding to forward http://mydomain.com to http://www.mydomain.com
The docs say this is possible by just leaving the subdomain blank in the URL forwarding setup screen but it seems to always want to default to www. How do I set this up and leave the box blank?

Seems nobody else is answering, so on the off-chance that you're still trying to work it out, here's the solution I got from e-mailing Gandi support:
1. Go to Manage > Domains.
2. Select the appropriate domain.
3. In the bottom left, under Technical Settings > Name servers, click Manage DNS zone file.
4. Select 'expert'.
5. Add this line at the bottom: @ 10800 IN A your.IP.address (Obviously, replace your.IP.address with your actual IP address.)
6. Then wait a few hours for it to propagate.
This worked for me, hope it helps you as well.
