What about VAT (sales tax)?
answered

Question "VAT", by Niall M.

I am registered for VAT, but I am always billed for it. The FAQ says that I can either enter my details at the time of purchase, or in my handle information, but this is not corrct, I have tried both and I do not have that option. How can I indicate my VAT number so I do not have to continue to pay VAT?

Answer, by Dimitri D.

I solved this problem including the country code before VAT, in my case it is "IT". Also, contact billing department, they'll help you quickly and perhaps refund you. Hope this helps

You can only enter your VAT number if your Gandi handle is of a "company" type. If your handle is an "individual" type you cannot add your VAT number, because your handle is not one that is in the name of a company. This is normal.

In order to not pay VAT, you either need to not be in the European Union, or your handle must be of a "company" type, containing your company's VAT number. In all other cases you will be charged VAT.
