I registered as an individual but now work as independent (freelance) and have a German VAT number (as well as a European one).
I wanted to fill it in my account but can't change my "You are" field and can't see a field for VAT as individual.
What should I do? and what do am I (from your point of view) a company? a public body?
It is not possible to associate a VAT number to an individual-type handle, which is why you cannot edit this field.
In order to add a VAT number, the handle needs to be an type other than an individual.
The usual process is therefore to change the owner of the domain: http://wiki.gandi.net/en/contacts/changeowner as the owner of the domain changes from Person X to Company Y, and is therefore needed.
