You can only renew your certificates within the 60-day period immediately preceding its expiration date. You will receive a renewal reminder 60 days before, 30 days before, 15 days before and finally, one day before it expires.
The renewal process will create a certificate of the same type as the original one, however the new expiration date will be the former expiration date plus the number of years that you have chosen to renew it for.
The former certificate will be revoked automatically upon its expiration.
Important:
SSL certificates can only be renewed prior to their expiration. Once they expire, you will need to proceed as if you were purchasing a new certificate for the first time.In order to renew your Gandi SSL certificate, you must have your Gandi handle and password.
Start by going to your list of certificates in the SSL section of your Gandi account.
There will be a renewal button next to each certificate within 60 days of expiration.
Click the arrow icon to renew your SSL certificate and follow the steps to make your payment.
You will then have two entries in your certificate list: one for the old SSL certificate (which shows an expiration date) and a new one with an activation link.
Click on the activation link to generate a CSR on your server, which you will then provide on the administration interface.
Allow some time for the validation of your SSL certificate to be carried out by Gandi and/or Comodo. Once this has been done, you can obtain the certificate by clicking on the magnifying glass icon.
