Questions

Retrieving the Gandi Intermediate Certificate

Gandi issues it's SSL Certificates from an intermediate certificate, not the root. This reduces the risk of root certificate compromise without degrading the security chain.

You will want to download and install the intermediate certificate on your servers to ensure that your visitors can validate the trust chain all the way back to the root certificate.

More information about root certificates and trust chains can be found here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_certificate

Downloading the intermediate certificate

You can download the intermediate certificate from the same place as your individual server certificates, that is, the SSL certificate management page of your account. Once on this page, click on the "Get a certificate" icon for the domain/certificate in question. In the "Obtain Gandi's operational certificate authority" section, click on the "Gandi's CA" button to retrieve the intermediate certificate.

Important:

The intermediate certificate will be different for each type of SSL certificate (Standard, Pro, Pro with SGC option, Business…). Please make sure you always use the intermediate certificate corresponding to your type of SSL certificate.
