Questions

What documents do I need to provide for the verification of my company?

If you have purchased a Pro or Business certificate, you will need to provide some documents in support of your application. The documents that you need to submit will depend on the details of the owner of the domain name for which you would like to create a certificate.

The entity (a physical person or legally-registered entity, such as a company) to be identified in the application is always the owner. If the current owner of your domain name is not correct, you will need to correct it by performing an ownership change prior to the activation of your SSL certificate.

Once your SSL certificate request has been filed, we will send a message to the administrative contact to validate this email address.

Next, a second email request will be sent to the administrative contact of your domain name to confirm the SSL certificate generation.

Once this verification has been made, you will receive an email that will (if necessary) request certain documents be provided so that the ownership of the domain name can be checked and validated. You will be told where and how to send your documents.

Once the documents are validated, you can install and use your certificate.
