The emergency console is used when you can no longer connect to your server via SSH. It is akin to physical access to your server when the network no longer responds or even if the VM has not finished restarting for whatever reason (a fsck request, for example).
It is only available for expert servers (not Gandi AI)
First, you need to activate the emergency console. This activation is made from the server's management page, in the System Configuration part.
System configuration OS: Debian 4 Emergency Console: Inactive Change Root access: granted
First click on the link to activate the emergency console, and then choose the duration of your connection when asked.
Once your console has been activated via this interface, you may connect to it using the following command:
ssh your_ip@console.gandi.net
the password you will be asked for is the one that you have chosen during the creation of your server.
