Renewing resources

This section will explain how to renew your hosting resources so that you do not need to worry about any interruption in service caused by this action.

Depending on the expiration date of your shares and your wish to keep or let expire your shares, you will need to renew your resources either monthly or annually.

The expiration date of your resources

Monthly-billed resources

  • When you purchase monthly resources, they are added to your hosting account: all like resources have the same expiration date.
  • To make things easier for you, the expiration date that we attribute to a given resource that you purchased will be the same expiration date as any resource in your hosting account of the same type.
  • Consequently, the renewal of resources of the same type are made at the same time: at the renewal date of your first subscription.
  • To renew your resources manually, it is necessary to connect to your Gandi account, and to click on the Manage your Resources button

  • Renewal of hosting shares

  • Renewal of additional RAM quota

  • Renewal of disk quota

  • Renewal of your additional IPv4

To sum it up, you renew all similar monthly resources at the same time, by clicking on the renewal link from your resource management page on our website.

Important:

It is important to remember that it is not possible to perform two operations of the same type simultaneously when the first order has not yet been finished. If you ever encounter this type of error message, simply go to the orders in progress section once you are logged into your account.

Annually-billed resources

  • The management of annually-billed resources is done in the same manner as the monthly-billed resources. You can access their renewal management page by logging into your account and clicking on the Manage your resources button.
  • The difference lay in the renewal dates and the type of resources that are at your disposal. Unlike your monthly resources, the expiration date of an annual resource is always one year to the day that you subscribed to that particular resource: it is not grouped in with the other resources when calculating the renewal date.
  • Because of this, you can see that annual shares are not flexible. It is not possible to synchronize the expiration dates, because each resource that you have subscribed to is managed independently of the other resources.

Automatic renewal of your resources

To avoid having to renew your resources every month, it is possible to use our automatic renewal feature:

  • click on the manage your resources button on your hosting management page of our website once you are logged into your account.
  • Then, click on the little red circular icon (see the image below) to activate/deactivate automatic renewal for a given product.

All that remains is to assure that your prepaid account has enough credit in it so as to cover any automatic renewals that you have set.
