Removing a share from your resources

The management of flexible shares in your hosting account allows you to remove unnecessary shares from your account that you no longer need.

Indeed, one of the main interests of using our virtualized hosting solution is that you can choose to use only the resources that you need, and when you need them. In order to remove a share from your available resources, you need to first verify that none of its components are being used for another server.

If you have first freed the components from your server(s), you may then remove this share from your account, and be refunded to your prepaid account for the unused time that you paid for.

  • To do this, it is necessary to click on the Manage your resources button from your Hosting Account Overview page. You will then see the following page:

  • You will find a link that will allow you to remove the share from your account. This link will bring you to a page where you can choose the number of shares to remove from your resources:

Important:

Note that the system can only remove shares from your resources if none of the components are being used by a server. The number of shares that you can remove is automatically displayed on the share removal page.

  • Once the operation has been completed, the system will automatically refund your prepaid account for remaining unused time that you have paid for. You are asked for your handle's password at that time.

  • A few minutes later, the refund will be carried out on your prepaid account.
