Since October 2009, Gandi has offered the possibility to create backup disks. You can do so by using the same disk quota used for your data disks.

The only difference is in the Type of disk chosen at creation.

You can also activate the disk repulsion option. This will force your disk to be created in an infrastructure zone that is different to that of the disks mentioned in the repulsion fields.
Repulsion allows you to have disks that are physically far from one another, thus reducing the event of a major hardware failure destroying your saved data as well as the original ones.

Once your disk is created, all you have to do is to use it, by configuring your server.
