Gandi Flex

Our Gandi Flex system allows you to add shares to your server for a specific period in the future, whether it be for a one-time or repeated event.

This allows you to increase the power of your server in the event of an anticipated increase of the load, for example.

The added shares will be billed on an hourly basis. This means that when the shares are released at the end of the Flex operation, you are refunded on your prepaid account for the amount paid, minus the hours of use.

Setting up a Gandi Flex Operation

In order to program a share addition with Gandi Flex, please start by going to the main page of your hosting account, and click on the concerned server's name in order to access its management page.

In the "General Information" section, on the right hand side, use the "Modify" function for the "Active Gandi Flex operations" option :

Here are the different settings of the Gandi Flex system :

1. Time Zone and Overview

Time Zone: specify your time zone depending on your location.

Overview: Access a graphic representation of the Gandi Flex operations already active on this server.

2. Setup of an operation

The setup fields are pretty obvious:

  • Title: give a title to the operation to set it apart from other operations that may be already scheduled on the server.
  • Repeat this operation: specify the frequency for this operation.
  • Start / Stop: the shares are added, then released in accord to the set times.
  • Total number of shares : specify the total number of shares you want on this server during the period of the operation including the shares already present on the server.
