Gandi AI: Configuring your HTTP server

Go to the hosting section of your account. Click on the server you wish to configure, and then on Web Server

1. Indicate an e-mail address

The first information you need to provide is an e-mail address. This is the address of the person in charge of the HTTP server. It will, for instance, be displayed on the server's error pages, should users want to notify this person.

2. Indicate your virtual hosts

The HTTP server needs to know the name(s) of the domain(s) (web sites) that will be hosted. This includes all of the related sub-domains (www.example.net ; subdomain.example.net…).

Tip:

At the top of the page, a button will give you the ability to switch to the advanced settings.

You will then be able to define aliases to your virtual hosts. For example, if you have a virtual host named www.domain.net, enter (one line per entry) in the alias field every subdomains or domain names that are supposed to redirect to that virtual host/web site (domain.net, www.anotherdomain.org, anotherdomain.org, …)

3. Create and select a user for your virtualhosts

Each virtualhost needs to have a user selected. This will allow you to share the management of each of them with a specific user. Of course, the user "admin" will always have access to all virtual hosts in the server.

However, any changes on files should be done under the associated FTP user.
