The technical contact manages technical aspects of the domain. He or she is the one contacted when the domain is not working properly. The technical contact may:
- Change technical settings for a domain (DNS, forwarding…)
- Manage related services linked to the domain (e-mail…)
How to change the technical contact of a domain
For a third party to be added as a technical contact on a domain, she must have a Gandi handle.
To grant technical rights to a handle, start by logging in with the handle listed as the domain's owner or administrative contact. Then, from the domain's control panel, scroll down to the “Contacts” section. Simply click “Modify” under the Technical contact, add the handle of the person to whom you're granting technical rights, then click Submit.
The new technical contact should have access to the domain within a few moments.
