Owner Change: following the status
To see what the status of your owner change is, please go to your Orders in Progress page, where you will see an entry for your owner change in progress.
Click on the pen icon () next to the owner change that you want to look at in detail. This will bring up the Owner change status page:
This page shows you each step of the owner change process, where you are, and what remains to be done.
- Step 1: If it is not Done, then this means your payment has not been processed yet. Please contact customer support in this case, and be sure to provide them with the operation number you see on the left.
- Step 2: Both the current and new owners need to accept the owner change. You can see who has not yet replied by looking on the right hand side of the page. If necessary, click on “send again” to resend the confirmation email to the address on record for the corresponding Gandi handle.
- Step 3: For some extensions, such as .FR, there is a step where the registry needs to confirm the owner change. This is usually done by confirmation emails that the registry in turn sends to the owners after step 2 is complete.
- Step4: Gandi double checks to be sure that everything is ok, and makes the change in our database. There is nothing that needs to be done on your end for this step, and it usually takes just a minute or two.
