Using and understanding Gandi handles

Gandi products are managed by what we refer to as "handles". This term comes from the technical term "NIC Handle" (more on this here).

Gandi handles look like AB1234-GANDI.

Why this combination of letters and numbers? The letters are taken from the first letters of the contact's name, and the numbers refer to the chronological order of the handle that starts with those letters (in the above example, this means that this contact is the 1234th that starts with the letters AB.

The handles are a simple way to identify a person or organization in our database, and associate them to a product with the appropriate management rights.
