¿Are gandiblogs open to searches by bots such as google, ask, yahoo, msn and others?
I have not seen any mention of this anywhere on this documentation. I have also looked at the control panel for a gandiblog and the option of opening it or barring such searches doesn't appear either.
I would like my family and friends to be able to read an write on my blog but I definately do not want its contents searched and published on saint google or any other search engine. Can I do it? How?
Thank you :)
This should be achievable by puting a robots.txt file in the root directory of the blog, but how does one do that? The top directory that you can acces via media manager is /public
I'd like an answer to this too.

The GandiBlogs are indeed open to the search engine bots, and to help increase the search engine ranking, we even publish them on our blog page at: http://www.gandi.net/domain/blog/
If you want to limit your blog to your family and friends, this is not possible due to the nature of the GandiBlog, which is public. You do, however, have the possibility of rendering certain articles in your blog private by assigning them a password (using the "Entry Password" option in your entry's admin page. You can then send the URL of these private articles to your family and friends, along with the password for viewing the pages.
