To Alex (or anybody on this subject) I did create a site unintentionally but it is shown that it has not been activated.Problem is, on the settings section, I have no delete option! Also, my list of templates are in French,as the drop down list is only french available! Can I get it in English? ===== Question "Trying to build a gandi website", by Gayle E. ===== I have temporarily created a website through vista print and have pointed my gandi registered domain name to it. I am now trying to create my gandi site and it is giving me the following error when I have not created anything yet. Any tips? Error: You have the option to create a free pack for each domain name registered at Gandi, though you are currently using all the free packs available for you account. To create a new website, you must either delete an existing website or create a new domain name. ===== Reply, by Andrew J. ===== I'm glad you've asked this question. I have the same problem. I've had to revert back to Gandi DNS servers. I also need to take advantage of the free SiteMaker pack, but get the same error. The only thing that I did after registering my domain was to change DNS records to point to my own DNS and Web servers. I've removed all DNS records I'd created and switched back to Gandi's server. Still, no love. Thanks for asking the question. Andrew ===== Answer, by Alex B. ===== It is probably because you have already created a site for your domain, intentionally or unintentionally by clicking around… Here are the steps to take remove the existing one and creating a new one: Login Go to Manage on top menu Click on "SiteMaker" second menu layer For any site that you want to create a new page for, click on Settings button (Under Action) on the next page click on Delete this website. Then click the "Go Back to the List" Click on "Add a website" Wait for a few minutes… Refresh the page Click on Activate Wait for a few minutes… Refresh the page If you have a green Active under Status, click on the Pen icon (Edit) Select a site from the list of templates And start editing the content using SiteMaker! ===== Follow-up, by Mark M. =====
