===== Question "Server doesn't respond", by workingclass m. =====

Hello, for reasons not yet fully understood my server does not respond to SSH and HTTP connections anymore since about 1 hour ago. However the servers IP is still pingable. I've tried to stop the server thru the web-admin interface but this led to an "Operation in progress" that lasts for quite some time now.



I have not changed anything in the configuration and the connections on SSH and HTTP ports aren't being refused - it seems that they time out after a while.



Any suggestions on how I can get my machine back to life?

EDIT: Oops, not the same - our server is NOT pingable anymore.

Same here, at 16 June 2008 11:34:07 BST (10:34 UTC) one of our virtual servers went offline. I can log into the console and the server is running fine, however it cannot reach it's default gateway anymore. The fact that I can log into the console means that the hypervisor is still on the network, but apparently something in the network configuration for the guest went wrong. I will now try rebooting the machine to see if it gets a new gateway.
