====== Creating a POP3 account on Thunderbird ======

To begin, run Thunderbird, go to the "**Edit**" menu and select "**Account Settings...**"

Select "**Add Account...**" and then "**Next**"

Next, enter your information such as the e-mail address that will appear on your sent e-mails

Select the option, "**POP**", and enter the name of your server, which will be "**pop.yourdomain.tld**".

If the domain is "**ganditutorial.net**" for example, then the configuration will be "**pop.ganditutorial.net**".\\

**WARNING**: please remember that "**www**" is NOT part of the domain name - it is only a sub-domain that is commonly used to direct a domain name to a website.

Finally, enter the username: this is the same as the one that you chose during the creation of your e-mail address

You may then enter a name for the account, so that you can rapidly identify it in your control panel (useful if you have several different e-mail accounts that you manage from the same Thunderbird application).

Yippee! Yoou have completed the POP3 configuration of your Thunderbird.

All that remains is to enter the password of your e-mail account (the one that you specified when you created your e-mail account) so that you can download your mail.
