====== Create an IMAP account for Outlook ======

To begin, open Outlook, go to the "**Tools**" menu, and click on "**Options**".

Click on the "**E-mail**" tab, and then click on "**E-mail accounts...**". In the new window, select the option that says "**Add a new e-mail account**"

Click on "**Next**". In the new window, select the type of server that you would like, which in this case is IMAP.

On the "**Internet e-mail setting (IMAP)**" page, enter your contact information in the "**User information**" section.\\

In the "**Logon information**" section, enter your **FULL** e-mail address that you created as the username, and the e-mail account's password (NOT your Gandi handle's password - unless you chose the same one!).\\

In "**Server information**", indicate **imap.yourdomain.tld** (where .tld is .com, .net, etc.), which in our example is **imap.ganditutorial.com** For the outgoing server (SMTP), use the one of your current SMTP (most likely the one your ISP gave you), or you can also configure the SMTP to use Gandi's outgoing server (for more on this, see: "[[en:mail:setting-email-with-outlook|Create a SMTP account for Outlook]]").
You can already test your configuration, which should work now (assuming the propagation period is over, as described in "Create an e-mail account")

Click on "**Next**", and you will have finished configuring your POP account. Congratulations!
